Foundation Help in Clarksville, TN

Clarksville is the biggest area I work in, and its mix of established neighborhoods and fast new development means every kind of foundation issue shows up here.

Waterproofed basement in Clarksville, Tennessee

What I see in Clarksville

Clarksville has grown quickly, and that growth shows in the foundations. New construction on newly graded ground behaves differently than houses that have had decades to settle.

Basements and below-grade space

Clarksville has more basements than most Middle Tennessee towns, and most of the waterproofing calls I get are here. Water gets in through block walls, through the floor joint, and through cracks that open and close with the seasons.

Newer subdivisions

Where lots have been cut and filled, I see foundation movement in the first five to ten years. Often the right move is to manage water and monitor, rather than spend money on piers.

Older neighborhoods

Closer to downtown and the older parts of town, homes on piers and shallow footings show the kind of long-term movement that shows up as sticking doors and sloping floors.

Send Marty a picture.

Crack in the brick? Uneven floor? Water in the crawl space? Sinking concrete? Send a few photos and tell Marty what you're seeing. No pressure — just a straight answer from someone local.
